DupliVert demonstration

You are missing some Flash content that should appear here! Perhaps your browser cannot display it, or maybe it did not initialize correctly.

DupliVerts can be an effective way to duplicate recurring objects in a scene and may serve as the basis for many interesting effects such as creating raindrops. This tutorial will demonstrate the use of DupliVerts in Blender.

Enabling DupliVerts on an object essentially copies any child objects at each vector on the parent object. This tutorial uses a grid as the parent, but other objects may be used as well such as UVSpheres.

  • In order to create a parent, first select the child object.
  • While holding Shift, select the parent object. You should now have both objects selected.
  • Press Ctrl-P to make the parent and click 'Make parent' to confirm.
  • Select the parent object and in the Object window (F7), depress the DupliVerts button.
